Review Genie is an Instagram channel operated by a co-founder of Cult Media. Cult Media builds and hosts the automation behind it. This policy covers the Review Genie Instagram app (“the app”).

What the app does
When you comment on a Review Genie reel or send a direct message asking for a link, guide or file, the app replies to you on Instagram and sends you the thing you asked for. That is its only job.
What we collect
- Your Instagram-scoped user ID and username
- The text of the comment or message that triggered a reply
- Whether you follow the Review Genie account (Instagram tells us yes/no; we do not see your followers or who you follow)
- A record of what we sent you and when
We do not collect your email, phone number, location, contacts, photos or anything from your profile beyond the username and ID above.
How we use it
- To reply to your comment or message and send what you requested
- To avoid sending the same thing to you twice
- To see, in aggregate, which reels people respond to
We do not sell, rent or share this data with anyone. No advertising use. No profiling.
Where it lives
In a private, access-controlled database (Supabase). Only the people running Review Genie can reach it. Data travels between Instagram and us over HTTPS.
How long we keep it
Request records are kept for up to 12 months so we do not message you twice, then deleted. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time.
Deleting your data
Send a direct message to @review.genie on Instagram saying “delete my data”, or write to us through cultmedia.in/contact with your Instagram username. We delete everything tied to your Instagram ID within 7 days and confirm back to you.
Meta / Instagram
The app uses Meta’s Instagram Platform API. Your use of Instagram itself is governed by Meta’s own terms and privacy policy. We only receive the events Instagram sends for comments and messages directed at the Review Genie account.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above moves and the new version appears on this page.
